Arlam Carr

At 13 years old, Arlam Carr, Jr. was the named plaintiff of a 1964 discrimination lawsuit in the Carr v. Montgomery Board of Education case which resulted in the desegregation of Montgomery Public Schools. He became one of the first African-American graduates of the all-white Sidney Lanier High School and grew up to have a storied career in broadcasting. He was the longest tenured member of the WSFA 12 News Team at the time of his death in 2013.
